Time Warner Cable tries usage-based pricing again in Texas

If you recall, the last time TWC tried to do this a couple of years ago, it was a disaster.

So, this is important: The plan is optional, designed to save light users some money, and Time Warner Cable promises in a blog post that “customers will always have access to unlimited broadband at a flat monthly rate.”

Pricing for that, however, could easily change. And that’s a wild card for Internet video providers like Netflix, iTunes, MLB, etc. (Though not nearly as bad as a world where only usage-based bandwidth pricing exists.)
