Google buys Zagat to go after the red-hot book publishing industry

Okay, fine, it’s probably more interested in Zagat’s ratings data and competing with Yelp and Groupon. But it’s another surprising and bold deal for Larry Page and Google to make — the second in the last month. Fun to watch.

Now, if a Google executive ever says they’re “not a media company” again…
