Apple finally solves the “listening to all my music at the office or wherever” problem
Apple’s forthcoming iTunes Match service isn’t just for downloading and syncing music on multiple computers, it’s also a streaming service.
As Arnold Kim explains at MacRumors, this means you’ll be able to instantly listen to all of your music from any iTunes-computer or iOS device, without waiting for it to download, and without it taking up storage space. Cool.
(Yes, other services can do this already, to varying degrees of success. But now iTunes can, too.)
Update: This isn’t technically a streaming service, Peter Kafka reports, even though it seems like it. More details here.
